Dell Inspiron M301z Review – Lighter in Weight, Faster in Processing, Long Lasting in Battery Life
Since the introduction of mini laptops, or netbooks, I’ve always wanted to own one of those 10 inch netbooks. Netbooks are small and portable, and it’s so convenient to carry them around.
Unfortunately, these netbooks come in standard screen resolution of 1024×600 pixels. Any higher resolution for netbook this size, you’ll end up straining your eyes. This 1024×600 resolution is good enough for browsing, social networking and chatting but not good enough to do website development, photo and image editing. The viewable screen area is just too small for these tasks.
I want something which is: not too small screen, not too heavy, not too slow and not short battery life. And the new Dell Inspiron M301z seems to fit my requirements.
Dell Inspiron M301z is available on AMD Nile Dual Core: Athlon II Neo K325 (1.3 GHz) or AMD Nile Dual Core: Turion II Neo K625 (1.5 GHz) ultra-low-voltage processors. The laptop supports up to 4GB DDR3 1333Mhz RAM memory.
Dell Inspiron M301z comes pre-installed with Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit or Genuine Windows 7 Home Basic 64-Bit, depending on the configuration.
Dell Inspiron M301z has a 13.3inch Widescreen HD WLED True Life with Dell Intelligent Display which runs at a resolution of 1366×768 which provides enough comfortable workspace for web designers like me.
Dell Inspiron M301z has a starting weight of 1.77 kg. That is 500g-700g heavier than netbooks. A normal 14inch notebooks weigh around 2.8kg. Dell Inspiron M301z has a height of 24.0mm, width of 328.0mm and depth of 235.5mm.
