Cast

  • Surya Sivakumar as Krishnan and Surya Krishnan. Surya plays both the father and son, the two lead characters of the film. Surya was once a soft adolescent who with his father’s courage became a more enduring individual. His father Krishnan acts as Surya’s largest inspiration of his life and always supported his son even through bad times.
  • Sameera Reddy as Meghna. Meghna is the girl who Surya first meets in a train and falls in love at sight. After Surya claimed that he would follow her wherever she goes, Meghna tells Surya that she would be leaving to the United States for university. With the acceptance of his father, Surya flies to the US and finds Meghna and eventually she falls in love, too. Meghna unfortunately gets killed in the Oklahoma City bombing.
  • Divya Spandana as Priya. Priya is the best friend of Surya’s sister, who later tells him that she was in love with him since her teenage. Surya who only expected her friendship, later fell in love and eventually marries her as well.
  • Simran Bagga as Malini Krishnan. Simran takes the role of the loving mother of Surya and wife of Krishnan. She was loved by Krishnan during their college days and since had been in love with each other, as told by her in the film.

Story

The movie begins with an elderly person named Krishnan (Surya Sivakumar) who returns home after a haircut. At home, he starts to vomit blood and was asked to rest on bed. A doctor will pronounce him dead after checking on him. This sad news is informed to his son Surya (Surya Sivakumar) who is travelling in a military helicopter. He starts to shed tears and starts thinking about his memories with his father and family.

Krishnan meets Malini (Simran Bagga) in college, falls in love and get married. They soon have a son (Surya Sivakumar) and a daughter. Surya is very attached to his father and sees him as a major inspiration in his life.

Surya grows up and joins an engineering college away from home and family. When he is in a train after completion of college, he meets Meghna (Sameera Reddy) and falls in love with her. She rejects his proposal as she finds it impossible to fall in love without knowing a person fully. Surya tells her that he will always come back for her. He will visit Meghna at her house when her parents are not at home. That is when she will tell him that she will be going to further her studies in a weeks time to University of California, Berkeley at United States of America. During this time, his father will get a mild heart attack and he will be fully occupied in taking care of his father and family that he will miss meeting Meghna before she leaves to USA.

With his father’s approval, he goes to USA to find Meghna and they stay happily for some time. Finally Meghna says that she has fallen in love too. She has to go to Oklahoma for a project. There she was a victim of Oklahoma bombing and dies on the way to the hospital. Surya will be shattered and will be returning back to India. In the airport, he meets Shankar Menon who gives him words of encouragement.

Surya returns to India and starts hanging out with his friends. The emotions due to loss of Meghna caused him to resort to smoking, drinking alcohol and drugs. His parents will try to control Surya’s drug habit by locking him in the room without any outside contact. He suffers the effect of drugs but soon he starts to show relief. That’s when his parents asks him to take a long break outside. So he takes a trip to Kashmir.

At Kashmir, he learns from the news that Shankar Menon’s son, Aditya was kidnapped. Surya goes to New Delhi and meets Shankar Menon. There he realises that the police are not serious about their work, so he decides to find Aditya himself. He goes to the streets and for days he talks with various people to find information. Information from many people leads him to a man (Prithviraj of Vijay TV) and Surya fights him and saves Aditya. He receives award of bravery from the Indian Government.

Once back home, Surya starts going out with his sister and her best friend Priya (Divya Spandana). Priya proposes to him but he doesn’t respond. To forget his past, he starts exercise and training and soon joins the army. After 6 years, Surya is a high-ranking officer in the army. This is when Priya visits him at Indian Military Academy and proposes again. Surya accepts and they get married and have a son. During this time, his father, Krishnan is diagnosed with throat cancer and operated. After this, Surya has to go for a rescue mission and while in a helicopter, he will receive a call about his father’s death, bringing the story to present day. After the mission, he visits his dead father. After burning the body and letting go his father’s ashes to the sea, he and his family continue walking and smiling as how Krishnan used to say.. Life has to go on..
