Two weeks ago, I received a call from a lady telling me that I’ve got a free massage offer. The call was from True Spa at Jaya33 building in Petaling Jaya. According to her, I can choose between 3 types of massages; back massage, foot massage and the other I think was hand spa, can’t really remember the 3rd one.  Being in the computer field, sitting long hours for work has definitely taken it’s toll on my back. I get back aches frequently. So my definite choice would be free back massage.

True Spa Jaya33 in Petaling JayaSo I fixed an appointment last Thursday for an after work session between 7:00pm to 8:00pm. I was late for the free massage session by 20 minutes due to the famous Kuala Lumpur traffic jam in Federal Highway. My massage session was not started immediately as there were no masseurs available, maybe because I was late. I was asked to fill a questionaire form and served warm chinese tea while waiting. I was taken around True Spa and introduced to the facilities there. Then I waited again until a masseur was available. A staff told us that since a normal masseur was not available, they will assign a Thai masseur to massage my back. And Thai masseurs are quite strong so I was advised to inform them if they massage too hard.

I was brought to a massage room which looks pretty decent and professional. Took out my T-shirt and lied face down on a bed with a hole for my face. Then the massage started. In the beginning, it was nice and when the masseur started massaging and pressuring certain points on my back repeatedly, I started to feel the pain. I told the masseur to reduce the pressure and the massage continued for 30 minutes. After the back massage, I really felt great. All the back stress disappeared.

Then I put on my T-shirt and was told to wait at the waiting area. In a while a staff came and asked me how the massage was. And then he introduced the spa and massage packages offered at True Spa. I was not interested with the first package, so he introduced a second package. I asked him a lot of questions and finally signed up for the 2nd package when he offered more benefits. I’m not a person who goes for massages, but since I will be travelling a lot within the next 1 year (5 countries to be exact), I decided that I will need refreshing massages for back and feet every time I’m back to Malaysia.
