I came.. I saw.. I blogged..
Busy, busy, busy on my 30th birthday this year..
Finally I decided to destress myself from office work by posting in my blog. I’ve been pretty occupied with my company’s Singapore project and was working stressfully on my birthday, even my weekends was not spared.
My birthday was on 7th October. I just turned 30 this year. And nearly everyone seemed to be reminding me that I have reached the number 30. And people in their 20s seem to alienate me as though I’m automatically upgraded to the number 30s group and no longer can mix with the 20s generation. And as usual, the same question was thrown at me.. “You’re getting old, when is your wedding?”.. Now my answer would be.. “If you sponsor my wedding expenses around RM 80,000 now and I’ll have no problem getting married tomorrow.” and that comes with a big smile from me.
Did I cut a cake? Oh yes I did, and not 3 cakes like my previous birthdays.. this time it was only 1 cake from my family members. It was a surprise for me sharp midnight. After cutting and eating cake, all were back to bed as fast as they got up to give me a 12:00am surprise. Anyway, I enjoyed it since I’ll be suffering the rest of the day doing reports for Singapore project using SQL Reporting Services and Visual Studio 2005. Sounds techie? Then just ignore me..
I received a lot of birthday wishes via calls, SMSes, Friendster testimonials and Friendster messages. Thank you to all those who were kind enough to wish me on the day I was stressful at work.
My family got me a nice t-shirt as gift. And a friend of mine got me an Thai Aromatheraphy Full Body Massage from Momentum Fitness which is near my office. The massage was really good, especially after weeks of continuous work stress. Since this is my first time going for a massage, I’m not the right person to comment about the quality of massage service here. But for me, it was really good and I nearly slept off. The massage service is provided by Momentum Fitness, a proper and nice gym, so I’m well assured that this is not a place where hanky-panky things happen.

That is me feeling very sleepy after my Aromatheraphy body massage
Another gift for me was a letter from my niece. She made an envelop using paper from school writing book and wrote on another piece of paper, that makes 2 piece of paper she tore from her writing book. Although I’ve scold her before for tearing pages from school writing books, this time I didn’t as I know she would only tear pages from her spare writing book now.
Overall, my birthday was good with the finale being the body massage session. For my next year birthday, I’ll try to take leave and relax.
