Many internet browsers softwares are available for free on the internet. In fact, you are using an internet browser to read this page. The most common internet browser will be Microsoft Internet Explorer which comes free with Windows operating system. Over the years, with good competition, many other alternative internet browsers have taken a bigger share in the browser market.

The reason? These alternative browsers have introduced new features and user-friendliness that attracted new users to start using their browser. These browsers are constantly improved with new features all the time which makes it hard to resist them. So what I did? I installed all of them on my computer and using them daily.

The following is the list of browsers that I have installed and in use. I chose all of them because of the various features they provide. Each of them have something that I like which the others don’t have. How I wish that all these features can be combined into a single internet browser!

Internet Explorer
Internet ExplorerInternet Explorer comes standard with Windows. Version 8 has a clean look and better security features. It has features such as Grouped Tabs, Private Browsing mode, Integrated Search, RSS Feeds.

Google Chrome
Google ChromeChrome is a newcomer to internet browser industry and it made an impressive entry by combining features with speed. Chrome is an Open Source project based on WebKit rendering engine. Google Chrome features include Flexible Tabs, Incognito Mode for Private Browsing, Integrated Download Manager and Online Task Manager.

Firefox
Mozilla FirefoxFirefox is has been a long time competitor to Internet Explorer and has a large user base. Firefox is packed with features, highly customizable and fast. Firefox features includes Private Browser Mode, Open Video and Audio, Instant Web Site ID, Smart Location Bar and Built-in Spell Checker.

Opera
OperaOpera is a browser which is always unique in features compared to any other browsers. Opera has always introduced smart features that do not exist in any other browsers. Using Opera is not only productive but fun.  Opera features include interactive voice, quick find, thumbnail previews, mouse gestures and customizing skins. You can navigate the web by talking and Opera can even read text to you.

Safari
Apple SafariSafari browser used to be exclusive to Apple, but not anymore. Safari focuses on being light-weight and non-obtrusive. It has tabbed browsing, save tab feature, top sites and spell checking for all fields. Safari is a very fast browser, outperforming some browsers on its native platform.
