ECO-SAFE – Let Your Blog Readers Email or Create PDF From Blog Posts

Some blog readers like to print and keep the posts which interest them, e.g. Recipes. But the more printing is done, the more paper are being used. And more trees need to be chopped to make the ever growing need for paper.

ECO-SAFE, a team of people who believe that web technologies might be used to help the environment has come up with a WordPress plugin. This plugin is called “Eco-Safe Merit Badge”. Once installed, this plugin will place a standard horizontal merit badge at the bottom of your blog post on every single-page view.

There will be 3 buttons displayed:

1. Send this page to my email
2. Email me a PDF of this page
3. Download a PDF of this page

The buttons look like below (see the actual ECO-SAFE buttons working at the end of this post):

These buttons enable blog readers to save their favorite articles as PDF or send them to their email. This eliminates the need to print any blog articles on paper.
